Doily crochet pattern.
If you're looking for a nice gift idea, this doily might be
the one to get your hands on.
This one is a fairly simple pattern. I think it's also
suitable for those who have less experience in crocheting.

Written Pattern:
Size: The doily measures approximately 26cm (10.2 inches) in diameter.
Skill Leavel: Easy to Intermediate
Materials Used:
- Fingering weight, size #1 cotton yarn; 21 grams of yarn needed for this pattern
- 3.0mm crochet hook
- Scissors
- Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.
Abbreviations (US terms):
st. - stitch
sl st. - slip stitch
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
dc2(3)tog - 2(3) double crochet closed together
()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.
Instructions:
Start with a ch4, join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring.
Round 1: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch2,
(1dc, ch2)* repeat 7 times around into the ring.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.
Round 2: sl st. into next ch2 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc into that same ch2 space, ch2,
(3dc into next ch2 space, ch2)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.
Round 3: sl st. into next 2 sts, sl st. into next ch2 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), (dc2tog, ch3, dc3tog) into that same ch2 space, ch2,
((dc3tog, ch3, dc3tog) into next ch2 space, ch2)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the dc2tog.
Round 4: sl st. into next ch3 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), (dc2tog, ch3, dc3tog, ch3, dc3tog) into that same ch3 space, ch2,
((dc3tog, ch3, dc3tog, ch3, dc3tog) into next ch3 space, ch2)* repeat 7 times around.
Sl st. on top of the dc2tog.
Round 5: sl st. into next ch3 space, ch1, 1sc into that same ch3 space,
(ch5, 1sc) into each ch3 and ch2 spaces around.
Join with ch2 + 1dc into first sc. (counts as the last ch5 )
Round 6: ch1, 1sc into that (ch2 + 1dc) space of the previous round,
(ch5, 1sc) into each ch5 space around.
Join with ch2 + 1dc into first sc. (counts as the last ch5 )
Round 7: ch1, 1sc into that (ch2 + 1dc) space of the previous round, ch6,
(1sc, ch6) into each ch5 space around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.
Round 8: sl st. into next ch6 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), (dc2tog, ch3, dc3tog) into that same ch6 space, ch2,
((dc3tog, ch3, dc3tog) into next ch6 space, ch2)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the dc2tog.
Round 9: sl st. into next ch3 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), (dc2tog, ch3, dc3tog) into that same ch3 space, ch2,
((dc3tog, ch3, dc3tog) into next ch3 space, ch2)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the dc2tog.
Round 10: sl st. into next ch3 space, ch1, 1sc into that same ch3 space,
(ch5, 1sc) into each ch3 and ch2 spaces around.
Join with ch2 + 1dc into first sc. (counts as the last ch5 )
Round 11: ch1, 1sc into that (ch2 + 1dc) space of the previous round,
(ch5, 1sc) into each ch5 space around.
Join with ch2 + 1dc into first sc. (counts as the last ch5 )
Round 12: repeat Round 11.
Round 13: ch1, 1sc into that (ch2 + 1dc) space of the previous round, 3dc into next st.(sc of the previous round),
(1sc into next ch5 space, 3dc into next st. (sc of the previous round))* repeat 47 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.
ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends!
