Yellow Lace Doily - Crochet Pattern



Hello Everyone! 😉

Today i'd like to introduce you to my Yellow Lace Doily crochet pattern.
It is made in only 12 rounds using cotton yarn. You can crochet this in any type of yarn or thread.

Written Pattern:

Size: The doily measures approximately 26 cm (10.2 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Intermediate


Materials Used: 

  • Fingering weightsize 1 - super fine cotton yarn. I used Alize Bella cotton yarn in the colorway 110 (light yellow). 18 grams of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3 mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or you can use a crochet hook.


Abbreviations (US terms):


st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
dtrc - double treble crochet
dc2(3, 4)tog - 2, 3 or 4 double crochet closed together


ch3(4)picot - ch3 or ch4, insert the hook into first ch (into 3rd or 4th ch from hook), yarn over and pull the yarn through all loops on the hook.

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.



Instructions:

Start with ch4 and join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring.


Round 1: ch1, 8sc into the ring.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 2: ch5 (counts as a dtrc), 1dtrc into same st., ch5,
(2dtrc into next st., ch5)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the first ch5.

Round 3: ch3 (counts as a dc),  dc3tog (1 st. into same st. and 2 sts into next st.), ch5, 1sc into next ch5 space,
(ch5, dc4tog over next 2 sts. (2 sts into each of next 2 sts), ch5, 1sc into next ch5 space)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with ch2 + 1dc on top of the first dc3tog.

Round 4: ch1, 1sc into that same (ch2 + 1dc) space of the previous round, 
(ch5, 1sc into next ch5 space)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with ch2 + 1dc into first sc.

Round 5: ch1, 1sc into that same (ch2 + 1dc) space of the previous round, ch6,
(1sc into next ch5 space, ch6)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 6: sl st. into next ch6 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 5dc into that same ch6 space, 
(6dc into next ch6 space)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the first ch3.



Round 7: sl st. into next st., ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into next 9 sts, ch3,
(skip 2 sts, 1dc into next 10 sts, ch3)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the first ch3.

Round 8: sl st. into next st., ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into next 7 sts, ch5, 1sc into next ch3 space, 
(ch5, skip 1 st., 1dc into next 8 sts, ch5, 1sc into next ch3 space)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with ch2 + 1dc on top of the first ch3.

Round 9: ch1, 1sc into that same (ch2 + 1dc) space of the previous round, ch5, skip 1 st., 1dc into next 6 sts, 
(ch5, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch5, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch5, skip 1 st., 1dc into next 6 sts)* repeat 7 times around.
Ch5, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch2, join with 1dc into first sc.

Round 10: ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc into same st., ch4, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch5, skip 1 st., 1dc into next 4 sts,
(ch5, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch4, 3dc into 3rd ch of next ch5, ch4, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch5, skip 1 st., 1dc into next 4 sts)* repeat 7 times around.
Ch5, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch4, join with a sl st. on top of the first ch3.

Round 11: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch1, 1dc into same st., ch1, 1dc into next st., ch1, 1dc into next st., ch1, 1dc into same st., ch4, skip next ch4, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch5, 1sc between the following 2nd and 3rd sts, ch5, 1sc into next ch5 space,
(ch4, 1dc into next st., ch1, 1dc into same st., ch1, 1dc into next st., ch1, 1dc into next st., ch1, 1dc into same st., ch4, skip next ch4, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch5, 1sc between the following 2nd and 3rd sts, ch5, 1sc into next ch5 space)* repeat 7 times around.
Ch4, join with a sl st. on top of the first ch3.

Round 12: sl st. into next ch1 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), dc2tog into that same ch1 space, (ch1, ch3picot, ch1, dc3tog)* repeat into each of next 3 ch1 spaces, ch5, skip next ch4, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch3, ch4picot, ch3, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch5,
(skip next ch4, (dc3tog, ch1, ch3picot, ch1)* repeat into each of next 3 ch1 spaces, dc3tog into next ch1 space, ch5, skip next ch4, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch3, ch4picot, ch3, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch5)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the first dc2tog.

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.
