Round Crochet Doily - Free Written Pattern

Hello Everyone!🙂

I have an easy Round Doily crochet pattern for you today. It's made in only 15 rounds using sport weight mercerised 100% cotton yarn and a 3mm crochet hook. If you're looking for a nice gift idea, this doily might be the one to get your hands on. If you can crochet in the round and know how to work the basic crochet stitches, you are good to go.

Size:
The doily measures approximately 37cm (14,6 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level:
Easy to Intermediate - advanced beginner

Materials Used:

• Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla mercerised 100% cotton yarn. 125 meters (30 grams) of yarn needed for this pattern.
• 3 mm crochet hook.
• Scissors.
• Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms)
st./sts - stitch / stitches

sk - skip

ch sp. - chain space
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet

ch3picot – ch3, insert your hook in third ch from the hook, yarn over, pull through all loops on the hook. 

(  )* - repeat instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.

Instructions

Start with a magic (adjustable) ring, or ch5 and sl st. in first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 15dc in ring.

Join with a sl st. in 3rd ch of beginning ch3 

(16dc sts)

Round 2: ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1),

(1dc in next st., ch1)* repeat 15 times around.

Join with a sl st. in 3rd ch of beginning ch4.

Round 3: ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1), 1dc in same st., ch1,

(sk next ch1 sp., (1dc, ch1, 1dc) in next st, ch1)* repeat 15 times around.

Join with sl st. in 3rd ch of beginning ch4.

Round 4: sl st. in next ch1 sp., ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1), 1dc in same ch sp., ch1,

(sk next st., sk next ch1 sp., sk next st., (1dc, ch1, 1dc) in next ch1 sp., ch1)* repeat 15 times around.

Join with a sl st. in 3rd ch of beginning ch4

Round 5: sl st. in next ch1 sp., ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1), 1dc in same ch sp., ch2,

(sk next st., sk next ch1 sp., sk next st., (1dc, ch1, 1dc) in next ch1 sp., ch2)* repeat 15 times around.

Join with a sl st. in 3rd ch of beginning ch4.

Round 6: sl st. in next ch1 sp., ch5 (counts as 1dc + ch2), 1dc in same ch sp., ch3,

(sk next st., sk next ch2 sp., sk next st., (1dc, ch2, 1dc) in next ch1 sp., ch3)* repeat 15 times around.

Join with a sl st. in 3rd ch of beginning ch5.

Round 7: sl st. in next ch2 sp., ch3 (counts as 1dc), (1dc, ch2, 2dc) in same ch sp., ch3,
