Crochet Christmas Angel Applique Ornament - Easy Pattern




Hello Everyone!❄️

I've got a cute little Christmas Angel Applique Ornament crochet pattern for you today. It's worked in one piece using sport weight cotton yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook. There are so many ways you can use these little crochet angels - put on greeting cards or use them as gift tags, use them as decorations anywhere in your home, from Christmas trees to Christmas dinner tables.

Written pattern:

Measurments:
Height - 10 cm (4'') tall.
Width - 11 cm (4,3'') at widest point.

Skill Level: Easy - advanced beginner

Materials used:

  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Alize Bahar mercerised 100% cotton yarn.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):

st./sts - stitch / stitches
sp./sps - space / spaces
sl st. - slip stitch
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets as directed.




Pattern notes:
  • Angel is worked in one piece starting with head.
  • The head is worked in round.
  • The body and wings are worked in rows.


Instructions:

HEAD:

Start with magic (adjustable) ring, or you can ch5 and sl. st. in first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: ch3 (counts as first dc), 15dc in ring.
Join with a sl st. in 3rd ch of beginning ch3. 
(16 dc sts)





WINGS AND BODY:

Row 1: ch3 (counts as first dc), 2dc in same st., 3dc in each of next 2 sts. 
(9 dc sts)

Row 2: ch4 (counts as first trc), turn, 2trc in first st., 2trc in each of next 7 sts, 3trc in last st. 
(20 trc sts)

ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), turn, sl st. in first st., sl st. in each of next 7 sts.
(8 sl sts.)

Row 3: ch3 (counts as first dc), 1dc in same st., 2dc in each of next 5 sts. 
(12 dc sts)

Row 4: ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1), turn, 1dc in first st., ch1,
(1dc in next st., ch1)* repeat 10 times. (1dc, ch1, 1dc) in 3rd ch of ch3 from previous row. 
(14 dc sts, 13 ch1 sps.)

Row 5: ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1), turn, skip first st.,
(skip next ch1, 1dc in next st., ch1)* repeat 12 times. 1dc in 3rd ch of ch4 from previous row. 
(14 dc sts, 13 ch1 sps.)

Row 6: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), turn, 1sc in each st. and each ch1 sp. until ch4 left at the end of the row. 1sc in ch4 sp from previous row, 1sc in 3rd ch of that same ch4 from previous row. 
(27 sc sts)

Row 7: ch3, turn, skip first and next st., sl st. in next st., 
(ch3, skip next st., sl st. in next st.)* repeat to the end of the row. 
(13 ch3 sps., 13 sl. sts.)

Fasten off, weave in the ends.




Care :  Hand wash or machine wash (depends on the yarn you have used)
           Dry flat;
           Blocking and stiffening recommended.

Lace Snowflake Ornament - Free Crochet Pattern


Hello Everyone! 🙂

Today I have the Lace Snowflake Ornament crochet pattern to share with you. It's made just in 4 rounds using a sport weight (#2) yarn and a  3mm crochet hook.
You can use them as decorations anywhere in your home, from Christmas trees to walls and windows. If you can crochet in the round and know how to work the basic crochet stitches, you are good to go.

Written Pattern:

Size: The snowflake measures approx. 14 cm (5,5'') in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy

Materials used:

  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Alize Bahar mercerised 100% cotton yarn. 7 grams (19 metres approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.


Abbreviations (US terms):

st. / sts - stitch / stitches
sp. / sps - space / spaces
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet

dc2(3)tog - 2 or 3 double crochet closed together -
(yarn over, insert the hook into indicated ch space, yarn over and draw up a loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook)* repeat 2(3) times. 
Now you have 3(4) loops on hook. Yarn over and pull through all 3(4) loops.

ch3picot - ch3, insert your hook into the center of the base stitch, yarn over, pull through all loops on the hook.
ch4picot - ch4, insert your hook into 4th ch from hook, yarn over, pull through all loops on the hook.

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.




Instructions:

Start with ch5, join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring. Or, you can make a magic (adjustable) loop.

Round 1: ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1),
(1dc, ch1)* repeat 11 times into ring.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch4.

Round 2: sl st. into next ch1 sp., ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into same ch1 sp., ch4,
(skip next st., 1sc into next ch1 sp., ch4)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc st. at the beginning of round.

Round 3: sl st. into next ch4 sp., ch2 (counts as 1dc of first dc3tog), dc2tog into same ch4 sp.,
(ch5, skip next st., dc3tog into next ch4 sp.)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with ch2 + 1dc into first dc2tog st.

Round 4: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into that same (ch2 + 1dc) space of previous round, ch3, skip next st., (1dc, ch3picot, ch3, 1trc, ch2, ch4picot, ch2, 1trc, ch3, 1dc, ch3picot, ch3) into next ch5 sp.,
(skip next st., 1sc into next ch5 sp., ch3, skip next st., (1dc, ch3picot, ch3, 1trc, ch2, ch4picot, ch2, 1trc, ch3, 1dc, ch3picot, ch3) into next ch5 sp.)* repeat 5 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc st. at the beginning of round.

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.


Care :  Hand wash or machine wash (depends on the yarn you have used)
           Dry flat;
           Blocking and stiffening recommended.

Little House Ornament Crochet Pattern



Hi Everyone! 🙂❄️

I have got a super cute Little House Ornament crochet pattern for you today. It's worked in back and forth rows using sport weight cotton yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook. There are so many ways you can use these little crochet houses - put on greeting cards an, use them as gift tags, use them as decorations anywhere in your home, from Christmas trees to Christmas dinner tables.

Width - 6 cm (2,36'') at widest point.

Skill Level: Easy

Materials used:

  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Alize Bahar mercerised 100% cotton yarn. 5 grams (13 metres approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook)* repeat 2(3) times. Now you have 3(4) loops on hook. Yarn over and pull through all 3(4) loops.

Row 1: 1dc into 3rd ch from hook and into each ch st. across. 
(13dc sts)

Row 2: ch2 (doesn't count as a st.), turn, 1dc into first st., 1dc into next 3 sts, ch2, skip next 2 sts, 1dc into next st., ch2, skip next 2 sts, 1dc into remaining 4 sts.
(9dc sts, 2 ch2 sps)

Row 3: ch2 (doesn't count as a st.), turn, 1dc into first st., 1dc into next 3 sts, ch2, skip next ch2, 1dc into next st., ch2, skip next ch2, 1dc into remaining 4 sts.
(9dc sts, 2 ch2 sps)

Row 4: repeat Row 3.

Row 5: ch2 (doesn't count as a st.), turn, 1dc into each st., 2dc into each ch2 sp. (13dc sts)

Row 6: ch2 (counts as 1dc of dc3 cluster), turn, dc2 cluster into first st., 
(ch1, skip next st., dc3 cluster into next st.)* repeat across. 
(7 dc3 clusters, 6 ch1 sps)

Row 7: turn, skip first st., sl st. into next ch1 sp., ch2 (counts as 1dc of dc3 cluster), dc2 cluster into same ch1 sp.,
(ch1, skip next st., dc3 cluster into next ch1 sp.)* repeat across. 
(6 dc3 clusters, 5 ch1 sps)

Row 8 - 11: repeat Row 7.



Row 8: (5 dc3 clusters, 4 ch1 sps)

Row 9: (4 dc3 clusters, 3 ch1 sps)

Row 10: (3 dc3 clusters, 2 ch1 sps)

Row 11: (2 dc3 clusters, 1 ch1 sp.)

Row 12: turn, skip first st., sl st. into next ch1 sp., ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into same ch1 sp., to make the hanging loop - ch10, sl st. into base of sc st.

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.


Care :  Hand wash or machine wash (depends on the yarn you have used)
           Dry flat;
           Blocking or steaming recommended;
           Spray with starch if needed.
