I have been wanting to share my Coral Lace Doily pattern for a while now. It's suitable for beginners who are familiar with the basic stitches.

Written Pattern:
Size: The doily measures approximately 25cm (9.8 inches) in diameter.
Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate
Materials Used:
- Fingering weight, size 1 - super fine cotton yarn. 19 grams of yarn needed for this pattern.
- 3.0mm crochet hook.
- Scissors.
- Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or you can use a crochet hook.
Abbreviations (US terms):
st. - stitch
sl st. - slip stitch
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet
trc3(4, 5, 6)tog - 3, 4, 5 or 6 treble crochet closed together
()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.
Instructions:
Start with ch4, join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring.
Round 1: ch1, 8sc into the ring.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.
Round 2: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch3,
(1dc into next st., ch3)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.
Round 3: sl st. into next ch3 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 3dc into that same ch3 space, ch2,
(4dc into next ch3 space, ch2)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.
Round 4: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into the base of that ch3, 1dc into next 2 sts, 2dc into next st., ch4,
(skip ch2, 2dc into next st., 1dc into next 2 sts, 2dc into next st., ch4)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.
Round 5: ch4 (counts as a trc), trc5tog over next 5 sts, ch5, 1dc into next ch4 space, ch5,
(trc6tog over next 6 sts, ch5, 1dc into next ch4 space, ch5)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the trc5tog.
Round 6: sl st. into next ch5 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 5dc into that same ch5 space, 1dc into next st., 6dc into next ch5 space,
(6dc into next ch5 space, 1dc into next st., 6dc into next ch5 space)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.
Round 7: ch4 (counts as a trc), trc3tog over next 3 sts,
(ch4, trc4tog over next 4 sts)* repeat 25 times around.
Join with ch1 + 1dc on top of the trc3tog.
Round 8: ch1, 1sc into that (ch1 + 1dc) space of the previous round, ch6, 1sc into next ch4 space,
(ch6, 1sc into next ch4 space)* repeat 24 times around.
Join with ch2 + 1trc into first sc.
Round 9: ch1, 1sc into that (ch2 + 1trc) space of the previous round, ch7, 1sc into next ch6 space,
(ch7, 1sc into next ch6 space)* repeat 24 times around.
Join with ch3 + 1trc into first sc.
Round 10: ch1, 1sc into that (ch3 + 1trc) space of the previous round, 11trc into next ch7 space,
(1sc into next ch7 space, 11trc into next ch7 space)* repeat 12 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.
Round 11: 1sc into next st., ch3, (1sc into next st., ch3)* repeat 9 times, 1sc into next st.,
(sl st. into next st., (1sc into next st., ch3)* repeat 10 times, 1sc into next st.)* repeat 12 times around.
Join with a sl st. into next st.
Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.
