Floral Petals Doily - Free Crochet Pattern



Hello everyone on this gorgeous sunny day! πŸ™‚πŸŒž

Today i would like to introduce you to my Floral Petals Doily.
All you need to start is a crochet hook and some yarn or thread in the color of your choice.
This pattern is suitable for those who are familiar with the basic stitches.

Written Pattern:

Size: The doily measures approximately 28 cm (11 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate

Materials Used:

  • Sport weight mercerized 100% cotton yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla yarn in the colorway 6313 (pink). 33 grams of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.




Abbreviations (US terms):
st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet
dtrc - double treble crochet
dc3(4)tog - 3 or 4 double crochet closed together
trc3(4)tog - 3 or 4 treble crochet closed together
dtrc3(4)tog - 3 or 4 double treble crochet closed together

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.






Instructions:

Start with ch5, join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: ch3 (counts as a dc), 15dc into the ring.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 2: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch1, (1dc into next st., ch1)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 3: ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc into next ch1 space,
(1dc into next st., 2dc into next ch1 space)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.


Round 4: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch2, 
(skip 1 st., 1dc into next st., ch2)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 5: sl st. into next ch2 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), dc3tog into that same ch2 space, ch3,
(dc4tog into next ch2 space, ch3)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the dc3tog.

Round 6: sl st. into next ch3 space, ch4 (counts as a trc), trc3tog into that same ch3 space,
(ch5, trc4tog into next ch3 space)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with ch1 + 1trc on top of the trc3tog.

Round 7: ch5 (counts as a dtrc), dtrc3tog into that (ch1 + 1trc) space of the previous round, ch7,
(dtrc4tog into next ch5 space, ch7)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the dtrc3tog.

Round 8: 2 sl st. into next ch7 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 6dc into that same ch7 space,
7dc into each ch7 space around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 9: ch1, 1sc into the same st., ch5, skip 1 st., 1sc into next st., ch7, skip 1 st., 1sc into next st., ch5, skip 1 st., 1sc into next st.,

Written Pattern:

Size: The doily measures approximately 26 cm (10.2 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate

Materials Used:

  • Sport weight mercerized cotton yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla yarn in the colorway 5329 (light green). 22 grams of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3.0mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):

st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet
trc3(4)tog - 3 or 4 treble crochet closed together

ch3picotch3, insert your hook into the center of the base stitch (or, insert the hook into the first ch), yarn over, pull through all loops on the hook.

Round Picot Doily Coaster - Easy Pattern

Today i have a simple yet elegant Round Crochet Picot Doily Coaster pattern to share with you. It is made in only 7 rounds using the cotton yarn. You can crochet this in any type of yarn or thread.

Size: The doily coaster measures approximately 16 cm (6.3 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate.

Materials Used:

  • Fingering weight 100% cotton yarn, size 1 - super fine. I used Alize Bella yarn in the colorway 619 (coral). 8 grams of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.


Abbreviations (US terms):

st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet
