Coral Dreams Doily Crochet Pattern



Hi Everyone! πŸ™‚

Today i have the Coral Dreams Doily crochet pattern to share with you. It is made in only 12 rounds using mercerised cotton yarn. This doily pattern will work well for those who are familiar with the basic crochet stitches.
This pattern can be also turned into a rug by using a thick yarn and a large crochet hook.

Written Pattern:



Size: The doily measures approximately 28 cm (11 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate

Materials Used:
  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used ONline linie 163 Bingo mercerised 100% cotton yarn in the colorway 108 (coral). 30 grams (75 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3.0mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):
st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet
dc2(3)tog - 2 or 3 double crochet closed together

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.




Instructions:

Start with ch6, join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: ch1, 16sc into the ring. Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 2: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch2,
(1dc into next st., ch2)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3 (into 3rd ch).

Round 3: sl st. into next ch2 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), dc2tog into that same ch2 space, ch3,
(dc3tog into next ch2 space, ch3)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first ch3 space.

Round 4: ch3 (counts as a dc), dc2tog into that same ch3 space, ch5,
(dc3tog into next ch3 space, ch5)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first ch5 space.

Round 5: ch3 (counts as a dc), 4dc into that same ch5 space, 
(5dc into next ch5 space)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.



Round 6: sl st. into next 2 sts, ch1, 1sc into same st., ch4, 1sc between the following 2nd and 3rd dc sts,
(ch4, skip 2 sts, 1sc into next st., ch4, 1sc between the following 2nd and 3rd dc sts)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with ch1 + 1dc into first sc.

Round 7: ch1, 1sc into that (ch1 + 1dc) space of the previous round, 
(ch5, 1sc into next ch4 space)* repeat 31 times around.
Join with ch1 + 1trc into first sc.

Round 8: ch1, 1sc into that (ch1 + 1trc) space of the previous round, 
(ch5, 1sc into next ch5 space)* repeat 31 times around.
Join with ch1 + 1trc into first sc.

Round 9: ch1, 1sc into that (ch1 + 1trc) space of the previous round, ch5,
(1sc into next ch5 space, ch5)* repeat 31 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 10: sl st. into next ch5 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc into that same ch5 space, ch2, 3dc into that same ch5 space, ch1, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch1,
((3dc, ch2, 3dc) into next ch5 space, ch1, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch1)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 11: sl st. into next 2 sts, sl st. into next ch2 space, ch1, 1sc into that same ch2 space, ch11,
(skip next 3 dc sts, skip next ch1, skip next sc st., skip next ch1, skip next 3 dc sts, 1sc into next ch2 space, ch11)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 12: sl st. into next ch11 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 6dc into that same ch11 space, ch3, 7dc into that same ch11 space,
((7dc, ch3, 7dc) into next ch11 space)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.

Popcorn Flower Square Motif - Crochet Pattern


Hi Everyone! πŸ™‚

I have got an easy Popcorn Flower Square crochet pattern for you today.
It's worked up in only 3 rounds using sport weight cotton yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook. The square motifs are all joined along the way using the ''join as you go'' method. You can use them for pillow covers, bags, afghans or any other projects.

Written Pattern:

Size: The motif measures approximately 6 cm x 6 cm (2.4 inches x 2.4 inches).

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate.

Materials Used:
  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla mercerised 100% cotton yarn in the colorways 5309 (beige) and 5316 (pale lavender). 3 grams (7.5 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern (one square motif).
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.


Abbreviations (US terms):

st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
dc3tog - 3 double crochet closed together

dc5popcorn - 5 double crochet popcorn stitch - work 5dc into same st., drop the loop from the hook, insert the hook from front to back into first dc made, grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull through stitch.

Instructions:

How To Crochet The Square Motif



Start with ch4 and join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: ch1, 8sc into the ring. Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 2: ch3 (counts as a dc), 4dc into same st., drop the loop from the hook, insert the hook from front to back into 3rd ch of the first ch3 made, grab the dropped loop with the hook and pull through that ch st. - now you have your first popcorn stitch made, ch3,
(dc5popcorn into next st., ch3)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the first popcorn st. made.

Round 3: sl st. into next ch3 space, ch2 (counts as a hdc), 2hdc into that same ch3 space, ch2, 3hdc into that same ch3 space, dc3tog into next ch3 space, ch5, dc3tog into the same ch3 space,
((3hdc, ch2, 3hdc) into next ch3 space, (dc3tog, ch5, dc3tog) into next ch3 space))* repeat 3 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch2.


How To Join The Squares (Join As You Go Method)



The square motifs are joined at ch5 and ch2 spaces in the last round.
We are going to join the squares together while working the last round
Start with one completed square motif. Crochet the second square until you finish Round 2


Start working Round 3: sl st. into next ch3 space, ch2 (counts as a hdc), 2hdc into that same ch3 space, ch2, 3hdc into that same ch3 space, dc3tog into next ch3 space, ch3,
Drop the loop of the hook, insert hook from front to back into ch5 space of the first motif’s final round. Pick up the loop and pull it through the ch5 space.

Ch2,



dc3tog into that same ch3 space, 3hdc into next ch3 space, ch1,
Drop the loop of the hook, insert hook from front to back into ch2 space of the first motif’s final round. Pick up the loop and pull it through the ch2 space.
Ch1

3hdc into that same ch3 space,


dc3tog into next ch3 space, ch3,
Drop the loop of the hook, insert hook from front to back into ch5 space of the first motif’s final round. Pick up the loop and pull it through the ch5 space. 
ch2, dc3tog into that same ch3 space.



Finish the square motif you are working on to the end of the round and fasten off.




Shared Corner Join 

This join takes place where square motifs 1 and 2 are already joined. Follow the previous steps in the same way until you get to the corner join area. 
Ch3


drop the loop of the hook, insert hook into corner from front to back where motifs 1 and 2 are joined. Pick up a loop and pull it through. Ch2


dc3tog into ch3 space.



Finish the square motif you are working on to the end of the round and fasten off. 




Continue following the previous steps in the same way until all square motifs are joined together. The corner join of 4th motif takes place where motifs 1, 2 and 3 are already joined.

Simple Batik Doily Crochet Pattern

Today I have a Simple Batik Doily crochet pattern to share with you.
This one will work very well for those who are beginners at crocheting doilies. It is an easy doily pattern which is worked using the basic stitches.

Size: The doily measures approximately 26 cm (10.2 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy

Materials Used:
  • Fingering weight yarn, size 1 - super fine. I used Alize Bella Batik Design 100% cotton yarn in the colorway 3675. 20 grams (72 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3.0mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):
st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet

Join with a sl st. on topof the ch3.

Join with ch1 + 1dc into first sc.

Round 10: ch1, 1sc into that (ch1 + 1dc) space of the previous round,

Size: The doily measures approximately 25 cm (9.8 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate

Materials Used:
  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used ONline linie 11 Alpha mercerised 100% cotton yarn in the colorway 43 (orange). 28 grams (59 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3.0mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):
st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet
trc5(6)tog - 5 or 6 treble crochet closed together

trc5tog – 5 treble crochet closed together - (yarn over twice, insert the hook into next st., yarn over and draw up a loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on  hook)* repeat 4 more times. Now you have 6 loops on hook. Yarn over and pull through all 6 loops. 

trc6tog – 6 treble crochet closed together - (yarn over twice, insert the hook into next st., yarn over and draw up a loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on  hook)* repeat 5 more times. Now you have 7 loops on hook. Yarn over and pull through all 7 loops.
