Crochet Shells & Swirls Doily Placemat - Free Pattern



Hello everyone!πŸ˜‰
Today I have the Shells & Swirls Doily Placemat crochet pattern to share with you. It is made in only 16 rounds using sport weight (size 2) yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook. All you need to start is a crochet hook and some yarn or thread in the color of your choice.

Written Pattern:

Size: The doily measures approx. 35 cm (13.8 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy (advanced beginner)

Materials Used:


  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Nako Fiore 25% linen, 35% cotton, 40% bamboo viscose yarn. 55 grams (165 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.


  • Abbreviations (US terms):

    sk - skip
    sp./sps. - space / spaces
    st./sts - stitch / stitches
    ch - chain
    sl st. - slip stitch
    sc - single crochet
    dc - double crochet
    trc - treble crochet

    (  )* - repeat instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.








    Instructions:

    Note that the doily might curl up at some points of making it. Don't worry, it will flatten back down when further rounds are done!


    Start with ch5, sl st. in first ch to form a ring. Or, you can make a magic (adjustable) loop.

    Round 1: ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1), 
    (1dc, ch1)* repeat 11 times in ring.
    Join with a sl st. in 3rd ch of beginning ch4.
    (12dc sts; 12 ch1 sps.)

    Round 2: sl st. in next ch1 sp., ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc in same ch1 sp., ch2,
    (sk next st., 2dc in next ch1 sp., ch2)* repeat 11 times around.
    Join with a sl st. in 3rd ch of beginning ch3.
    (24dc sts; 12 ch2 sps.)

    Round 3: sl st. in next st., ch3 (counts as 1dc), 2dc in next ch2 sp., ch2,
    (sk next st., 1dc in next st., 2dc in next ch2 sp., ch2)* repeat 11 times around.
    Join with a sl st. in 3rd ch of beginning ch3.
    (36dc sts; 12 ch2 sps.)

    Round 4: sl st. in next st., ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc in next st., 2dc in next ch2 sp., ch2,
    (sk next st., 1dc in next 2 sts, 2dc in next ch2 sp., ch2)* repeat 11 times around.
    Join with a sl st. in 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

    Crochet Textured Bucket Bag - Free Pattern



    Hello Everyone! πŸ˜‰

    Today I am here to share the Textured Bucket Bag crochet pattern with you. It's worked from the bottom up, in joined rounds. The handle strap is made as separate piece and attached to the bag after it's completed.

    I used Worsted / Aran weight (#4) cord type yarn ( thickness - 3 mm) and a 4,5 mm (G/7) crochet hook.

    Written Pattern:

    Finished Size: Height: 27 cm (10,6''); Width at widest point: 33 cm (13''); Depth: 23,5 cm (9,3''); Strap length: 130 cm (51,2'').

    Skill Level: Intermediate

    Materials Used:
    • Worsted - Aran weight cord type yarn, size 4 - medium. I used YarnArt Macrame Cotton - (250 grams / 225 meters) - 80% Cotton, 20% Polyester; Thickness of cord - 3 mm.                                     2 skeins (approx 387 meters) needed for this pattern.
    • 4,5 mm (7) crochet hook.
    • Scissors.
    • Yarn needle.

    hdc - half double crochet

    HANDLE STRAP

    Make a foundation chain approx 130 cm long.

    Row 1: 1hdc in 2nd ch from hook, 1hdc in each ch across.

    Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing (approx 20 cm (7 - 8'')).


    Attach the strap.

    The bag strap will be inserted through the ch2 gaps (spaces) of Round 27!

    1. Insert the strap into one of the ch2 gaps from the outside of the bag to the inside.
    2. Skip next ch2 gap, insert the strap from the inside to the outside through next ch2 gap.
    3. Insert the strap from the outside of the bag to the inside through next ch2 gap.
    4. Skip next ch2 gap, insert the strap from the inside to the outside through next ch2 gap.
    5. Skip next 2 ch2 gaps, insert the strap from the outside to the inside through the 3rd ch2 gap.
    6. Skip next ch2 gap, insert the strap from the inside to the outside through next ch2 gap.
    7. Insert the strap from the outside of the bag to the inside through next ch2 gap.
    8. Skip next ch2 gap, insert the strap from the inside to the outside through next ch2 gap.




    Sew the both ends of the strap together, fasten off.

    Crochet Tote Market Bag - Easy Pattern

    Today I would like to share the Market Tote Bag crochet pattern with you. It's worked from the bottom up.The handle straps are crocheted directly onto the body so the bag is one piece with no extra seaming.
    This pattern is written for those with basic crochet knowledge.To make this bag, you should be familiar with basic crochet stitches and terminology. You should also know how to crochet in the round.
    I used DK weight (size 3 - light) YarnArt Macrame cord type polyester yarn and a 3,5 mm (E4) crochet hook.
